Pumpkin Patch!

recipe :: speghettiOs with a twist!

At our house, we like our meals to be quick, healthy and delicious… and preferably cheap! This one’s not the absolute healthiest thing we’ve ever made, but it’s not too bad. And it’s definitely quick, delicious & cheap.

If we’re in a rush and don’t have much time to make dinner, we like to make this: speghettiOs + pinto beans! We usually have a can of each on hand, and realized a while ago that they were actually great together. You just pour a can of pintos and a can of speghettOs into a medium-sized microwavable bowl, and microwave for about two minutes! (Be sure to strain and rinse your beans first though, because they’re likely packed in oil.)

SpeghettiOs are a quick and cheap college fave, but adding a can of beans adds lots of fiber and LOTS of protein. This always keeps us full for the rest of the evening.

tiny furniture

We recently saw saw the movie Tiny Furniture on Netflix, and it was SUPER interesting! It’s a film by Lena Dunham, a 26 year old filmmaker, actress and comedienne—Not much older than us! She’s the creator and star of the HBO series Girls, which you may have heard of. (It was nominated for 4 Emmy Awards!)

Tiny Furniture is about a recent college grad who returns home while she tries to figure out what to do with her life. It’s very unique and very funny (…in a dry humor sort of way). You’d like it.

Here’s a short video of us getting moved into our new apartment! Although move-in day is always a little overwhelming, we were so incredibly excited to finally be moving in together! We are so very blessed to have such a wonderful family who would spend the whole weekend helping us move our things in, assemble our furniture, and build our new home together.

As soon as the house is all put together and has all the final touches, we’ll be sharing a full house tour video where you can get a much better look at the new space we’re living in — stay tuned!
